Woodbridge, VA with his family. Weight: 108 lbs. Height: 30" Temperament (please
explain): "Jericho is the sweetest lap dog ever! He will crawl into anyone's
lap if they sit on the ground. He is very calm and laid back even if there are new people
and dogs around. At first he was a little scared of going outside but he's doing a lot
better now. I think the change in weather probably has a lot to do with that. He likes to
sit on our deck in the sunshine. He is friendly to people and dogs we meet on walks. He
does not get over excited, just walks up to say hi. Hyper dogs make him nervous even if
they are only a quarter of his size. Other than that, nothing phases him. He is very mild
mannered. Health (please explain): We've only had Jericho 2 weeks so there's not much to tell. We took him in for a checkup and the vet said he looked very good. He did have runny poop and was straining a lot, but the vet didn't find any parasites. He was prescribed a pill to take and he is no longer runny. He does have a slight underbite, but the vet said that probably wouldn't be an issue when he got bigger. Other Comments: He
loves to sleep! We have not had any problem getting him to sleep at night. We put Jericho
in a baby crib like Tanya recommended. He is big enough to jump out if he wants but only
does that if we leave the room while he's in there. He likes to play with tennis balls and
some other toys. He will play with us for a little while but then he wants to climb on our
laps to take a nap. He does not like his crate and we can hear him cry from outside the
house. He also pees on every bed we put in his crate even though there are puppy pads he
can use. Other than that he is doing great. He can sit, shake, and stay (for a short
while). Mafia's Bianca "The Body"

Whitehaven, MD with her family. Weight: 29 lbs Temperament (please explain): Cedar is growing very fast and has a wonderful disposition. She is very vocal and right now is biting (baby teeth). She loves to play with her toys (that is the bite time), then snuggles afterwards. If she is not playing, she is on one of our laps. She is a snuggler, loves to be held and kissed. She loves to snuggle in bed with us, she does this every morning after she is fed I put her back in bed with Stefan and they both sleep the rest of the morning. Not this weekend but the Sunday before she mastered the steps in our house, which are not carpeted. She was very proud! She loves to tear up paper. She loves the garden and the grass in the back yard. She is eating about 2 ½ cups in the morning and the evening and is slender, she is not a voracious eater mater of fact she acts most of the time like she could take it or leave it………I am hoping she will fill out more when she stops growing. She gets lots of sleep. She likes to be warm, and I tuck her in ever night (she sleeps in a playpen) with a blanket over her. Her paws are HUGE and her front knees are big also, her chest is muscled……..don’t know whether she is European or American, just know we love her. Health (please explain): The vet says she is a beautiful pup and very healthy. She does have a belly button hernia which the vet says is very common and she may grow out of it, if not she will fix is when she is spayed (Cigar my black great dane had a similar hernia and it was taken care of when she was spayed). explain): He is a loving dog, loves to play. But he is also a little
daredevil. He is adjusting to his big brother Vinny and they seem to be a good pair
in regards to temperaments!! They are acutally starting to play with each other

Chevy Chase, MD with her family. Weight: 100 lbs. Height: 30" Temperament (please explain): Heavenly! she's a total sweetheart and wants to be with me all day long. (not very convenient, but adorable.) right now, she still thinks she's a lap dog. relatively calm for a puppy (does well on her leash so far)--though with the bouts of crazy running around that you'd expect. loves, loves, loves other dogs and people. always running up to them on our walks. more specifically, she handles the poking and prodding by our 2 kids very well. they get upset b/c she has the puppy tendency to jump on them and nibble on them. (and even now, she's big enough for that to be a little scary for the kids.) but they're learning to handle her, and most of the time she's a gentle biter. she has been a total wimp about going outside in the cold weather, so the turn toward the warm has thrilled her as much as it has me. Health (please explain): Good. She still has the mild eye infection that she had the first day we took her to the vet, but he said she'd likely outgrow it--or we may try the drops again. other than that, she seems fit as a fiddle, with more energy than she knows what to do with some days. As of a weight check 3 days ago, she was just under 29 pounds. Other: her coat is still fabulously soft and she is, of course, utterly beautiful. people are always stopping us on the trails to gush over how pretty she is. she's still not happy when i crate her, but she's getting less whiny about it. house training going pretty well. (she also does well with sit, stay, and come commands.) she'll go to the door when she needs to go out. of course, if you don't notice and immediately go to let her out, there will be a puddle. one time, she barked to alert me to her needs, but mostly she just stands there hoping someone will notice her. lives in Brick, NJ with his family. Weight: 30 lbs Temperament (please explain): Lil Joey has the best personally We've ever seen in a dog. He's very playful and loving. Joey gets along great with other dogs, kids, and strangers. He's very protective while at home. Joey is also an extremly fast learner. He picked up the house training within a week and a half. He also learned several tricks in the past month and does great on a leash. Health (please explain): Other than the testicular disorder lil joey is in perfect health. Joey weighs about 30 lbs and is gaining about 5 lbs a week. Montana Von Emrick She is currently 23.5 months old as of
11/20/08. Temperament (please explain):Queen M starts her morning as a lazy lima bean and wants to stay IN bed. Her tutu goes in the air and she wants love, hugs & kisses. After she finally arises & breakfast settles, it's time for zoomies. She proceeds to spend the next 1-2 hours totally terrorizing the yard and her 155 lb brother! Then to the couch for a 4 hour nap until the zoomies hit around 4pm. When she not a "looney tune", she is the sweetest, most loveable girl who only wants your love. Another M trait is greeting visitors with every toy & blanket she can possibly put in her mouth at one time. Health (please explain): Montana was spayed at 9 months at which time her stomach was "tacked" to protect against any bloat possibilities. All went well and she was ready to run around next day so imagine the joy of keeping her calm for a month! The vet says she looks great and all is well. 10/01/08. Comments: Bogey has been the calmest dog we have ever had...from the day we brought him home at 8 weeks old. He is so loving and emotional. Gets his feelings hurt very easily. He loves to snuggle and if he can find a way to still be held, he does. He was so easy to train and has even attended two agility classes. We volunteer for Great Dane Rescue, Inc. and do booths, and he is our booth dog because he is such a well rounded, well socialized dog. We could not have asked for a better family member and we could not love him more. Health: He has Excellent health. He does have a thyroid condition...but all of our blues have had that as it is common in the color for any breed. It is easily treated with a daily pill. Sir Greyson Von Emrick “Grey” currently lives in Gaithersburg, MD with his family. Height: Pending Weight: 158 lbs. "I am sitting here a work and decided to visit your web site and see all those beautiful pups that you Jim have raised and moved into loving homes. Your “Blues” are as stunning as Greyson’s litter. Greyson or as the neighbors call him “Ol Blue Dog” is quickly approaching his 3rd birthday! I have no idea where the time has gone? He is as healthy as a horse and I believe enjoying the hell out of his life. Grey is weighing in at 158 pounds of pure muscle! He lives to play retrieval with his tennis ball! We stop most times because my shoulder is spent. Grey is still full of energy, we spend hours and I mean hours on our multiple dog walks during the day. He loves the outdoors! I still get stopped on almost every walk and receive complements on what a “stunning” dog he is! Of course Grey still enjoys his comfort too! I have lost my family room chair and ottoman to become his daytime bed. During the late evening he slinks upstairs and joins Kim and me in our bed! Thank god we have a king. Grey is a pure joy to have as a best friend. I waited 30 years to get a Dane and I could not be happier with the puppy Kim selected. Thanks for producing so a magnificent specimen of the breed." action from the time she gets up to the time she settles down late. Right around 9:00pm

Emrick Height: 35" Weight: Approx. 160 lbs. Comments: Lady is gorgeous, she really takes people back when they see her. Her coat is lovely and her size overwhelming to the average person. She is a little too pushy and she is a little too protective, with other dogs, sometimes, but some of that is her wish to be top dog. Her personality is so loving and youthful. Her hips must be great, because I see her take positions that our other two Danes never could have dreamed of. Temperament:
Lady is puppy like, happy, & healthy. She plays well with others. Stromboli Von Emrick Gunther Von Emrick He is 4 years old as of 10/01/08. Comment: His temperament is awesome - is truly liked by all that meet him. He is laid back, but is quite excited to greet when people visit. Gunther is very loving and gentle, other than his tail! Gunther has had is share of issues, luckily nothing too major after the HOD. The latest has been skin infections / allergies / He has had minor cases, but this summer was a real battle. I’m still battling some issues with redness on his feet. If it happens again, I'm going to have to seek a vet dermatologist in Pittsburgh. Baron Von Emrick Kya Von Emrick Angus Von Emrick
